Spa days

Staying in Dartmouth is a treat, and we like to think the apartment at the Pottery is a great place to relax, but perhaps you feel you need some extra pampering?
Well, of course Dartmouth and South Hams can deliver!

One option in Dartmouth itself is at Dart Marina. This lies just above the Higher Ferry (the big one), about 25 mins walk from the Pottery, though there is plenty of parking nearby. The spa is well appointed with the usual pools, gym and treatments, and a terrace restaurant next door overlooking the river. There are various spa/dining packages available.

One spa we can personally recommend is not actually near Dartmouth, but on the edge of Dartmoor not far from the A38. The Ilsington Country House Hotel Devon has more of those pool/sauna/treatment facilities, but the £ 41.50 Sunday Spa/Lunch package is particularly attractive, if you are leaving Dartmouth on a Sunday morning, don’t want to hurry home, and would like to eek out a little more relaxation out of your visit to Devon. Nice atmosphere, more nice views.

Another spa is available about 3 miles out of Dartmouth at the Dartmouth Hotel (formerly Dartmouth Golf and Country Club). Again, there are packages available using the facilities and the club restaurant. I’m told the Golf course is excellent, but if you prefer, you can sit in the Jaccuzzi and watch the action in comfort.

Go on! Spoil yourself!
